Suggestions that do not involve spending a dime. Did your friend write the seed phrase on a notepad or notebook? If yes, he should use the same email that he used to sign up, to login to the APPLICATION from another phone. He will be able to see every information stored on the faulty phone.
If he took a screenshot of the seed phrase, and also have automatic backup enabled. He should use same email to login to Google drive (for android) or iCloud (for iPhone) from another phone to get the screenshot.
If he didn't do anything of these, he should consult a data recovery expert and it's going cost some money.
Hmmm this is a nice suggestion, I think he wrote it in his notebook on his Samsung phone , I will ask him if he have any backup in his email.
So I will tell him to give it a try I hope he even took screenshot of the seed phrase ( is usually common for lazy folks
) ,
