They are getting players who Pep religiously watched and scouted and knows would work perfectly for his style. Manchester City have restructured how they spend in the transfer window. I guess they have learnt from past mistakes and losses from big money deals that didn’t go well like Jack Grealish. They are now being careful and being smart with their dealing now not to overspend on any player and have him flop.

There are no players attracting attention in the transfer market either. I think it would be a better strategy for them to be greedy at the right time. They are adding young stars such as Marmuş, Husanov and Cherki alongside stars such as Haaland and Rodri. Before Guardiola, they had experienced a period where they could only win the championship by spending a lot of money. They have learned that the championship does not come only by spending a lot of money...
