My opinion,
A decade from now I think Bitcoin would have surpassed all expectations, technological advancements would also be a contributing factor .
I see Bitcoin contributing massively to the world economy, and a massive adoption by both individuals and institutions too.
Here's a break down of how I expect Bitcoin to be 10 year's from now.
1. Regulatory clarity: in the next couple of years, I would personally expect that the government would establish some form of regulation that provides Bitcoin a platform that enables it grow and provides stability.
there is nothing bad speculating where bitcoin will in the next time years or expecting bitcoin to be somewhere in the next time years
, but the truth is nobody knows where bitcoin will be in the next 10 years to come.
But do to bitcoin decentralized nature government will find it challenging to regulate it, bitcoin is on it own no central entity or government control it the only thing government can regulate are:
Licensing and registration, where government will require bitcoin exchanges, wallets and service providers to register and comply with regulations.
Taxation: government can only make bitcoin a taxable asset which they will require to report gains.
Consumers protection: government can only implement registration to protect consumers from scams and fraud.
Anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer(KYC): government can implement anti-money-laundering and know your customer rules to all the exchanges to prevent illegal activities.
2.competition: this might seem off , but I think I kind of see a competition in the nearest future, I feel like an alt coin might also have an upsurge that would seem as though competition for Bitcoin.
I don't see bitcoin having any shitcoin as competitor in the next
510 years. because no matter what any shitcoin will display in the crypto space people will still choose bitcoin that is known to be a store of value with potential returns over that shitcoin.
