You're right Barcelona would've been a good match for the finals and it would've been a bad one for PSG, PSG should be very happy that inter eliminated Barcelona if not it would've been a stumbling block for them because PSG and Barcelona have almost the pattern of football and mind you that's a finals which I know that Barcelona will not joke with it, they would have given all they got that day to make sure that they win PSG, to me despite how PSG is, Barcelona remains their superior unless such has to be proven wrong this time by both of them meeting in finals of such competition like the UEFA champions league.
Inter spoilt the tough match we would have watched if it was PSG vs Barcelona, meeting at the finals of UEFA.
Till today, I can't imagine how Inter defeated Barcelona, only to lose terribly to PSG. Making this year's finals of UEFA to be less tough and uninteresting for us that watch it. Barcelona and PSG could have made a lot of sense, for teams that are passionate in winning their matches meet at the finals of UEFA.
That's what's interesting about the Champions League, there are always many surprises that we never expected, even if we look back at PSG in the last few years, no one would have predicted that PSG could reach the final and win. Remember, PSG is always underdog every season, especially this season they started the Champions League badly and even had to fight hard to get through the play-off round. So it is with Inter. Inter made a surprise after beating Barcelona even though Barcelona's game was very dominant, even Barcelona only needed to wait a few more minutes to win, but Inter made a surprise at the end of the match which made the match continue into extra time and then Inter managed to make a comeback.
In the Champions League competition, it is not only the quality of the players that is the reference, but the strategy and decisions of the coach during the match that are the determinants. And in the final match, Enrique really understands when facing a team that is dominant in midfield and defense, this is different from Flick, he only focuses on attacking and cannot anticipate opponents in building counterattacks. In the final match, Enrique locked Inter's midfield so that Inter's game flow did not go according to plan which made PSG easily win the final match.
