Coming second again for the 3rd consecutive season isn't supposed to be great for a team that's supposed to win the title at least once in those three years that they claim they had a great season. Anything short of winning a title isn't supposed to be considered great. After eliminating Real Madrid both the team and fans all thought they've arrived and thus winning the champions league was their agenda, lol.
If you think it is only when Arsenal wins the Premier League title that they will have a great season, you are totally wrong. We know that Arsenal was close to winning the Premier League title on 3 occasions, but they failed to do so. Arsenal finishing in the second position in the Premier League table is already a great season for Arsenal because the Premier League is a competitive league, and any club that finishes in the second position in the Premier League table already had a great season.
How then do you judge the successfulness of a team if not for the trophies being won by that team! How exactly does a team have a great season with zero trophy common man. You said premier league is competitive so because of that any team that comes second had a marvellous season, lol. Need I remind you that Serie A was the most competitive league this season that just finished seconded by La Liga before EPL. Now my question to you now is, was the season a great season for Inter Milan because they came second?
