Today I received a message from Bitget demanding to provide confirmation of information about the country/region of residence. I can't even guess why Bitget is requesting this data, since I have already passed KYC on the exchange and have been trading on it for several years.
So does this mean you have submitted your proof of address in the past?—I asked because initial KYC tier does not need proof of address according from their help center. And your proof of address this time was requested? or was there no supporting documents needed?
In any case, it is true that we can always be asked for further information or the same type we've already submitted in exchanges. Sad to say, I believe regulations are just bound to be stricter over time as this has already been happening.
BTW? are you continuing with Bitget?
