There is no end to hypocrisy. How can you decide for someone else that they can't have nuclear weapons or anything else for that matter, but others can't decide it for you?
Lest anyone think that I am on Iran's side, they also have their negative sides, but like any other country they have the right to use nuclear energy for peacetime purposes, but why not for military purposes to protect their territory? If we are to be completely honest, only countries that have nuclear arsenals can be considered safe and strong, all others are just potential targets for large countries that from time to time go and "exercise" their armies and democracies on them.
Precisely, you understand it. How can other countries interfere this deeply in someone else's affairs, and then call foul when someone does even minimal interference in their affairs? In the short term this helps to keep the status quo, but in the long term this will be very disastrous. All the countries that are being prevented from having nukes, will have nukes and eventually someone is going to use them. They will blame that country for using them, but all the fault will be of the west. Consequences of your own actions.
