Bitcoin is an investment asset. Therefore, they hold and secure their assets well, not even thinking of using them as a means of transaction.

What do we have to use Bitcoin for of not for trade like payment for goods and services. We still see people keep Bitcoin for as long as possible because they want to make profits from their holdings. Bitcoin was created to put less pressure on the banking system that is being controlled by the government. Due to different complaints about how the banking system has been delaying and restricting customers accounts, limiting their ability to send money or pay for goods and services with the help of the government, Satoshi Nakamoto created a simple but decentralized system that works without the involvement of bank or any third party involved. So the holding Bitcoin for too long is not the main purpose why it was created. Bitcoin is meant for payment of good and services.
