They check because they want to know the status of their target and plan their possible attacks.

That's why being an influencer is really hard since different kind of people including those criminals could monitor us and we are been so exposed on anything bad thing that you can imagine.

That's why if those influencers is earning good fortune maybe better solution they could do is to hire security guards at home so that they can make sure that criminals can't easily do their plans since you hired some skilled people to monitor your safety.

If he is an influencer (or crypto public figure), founder of a crypto project, then the only way is to hire a bodyguard for his security, wherever he goes must always be accompanied to maintain security, likewise their families who are potentially kidnapped must get the same security team.
However, if this kind of thing happens to me, of course I feel that the world is not free because I have to be followed by many people, it is better not to be an influencer and or show off my BTC ownership and it is better if no one knows at all, I think that is much better and live peacefully.

Criminals are now modern and organized, they are much more dangerous, especially in countries that are too free or have low levels of law and security.
