By my assumptions, there are strong indications already that we are moving past an era where employers put educational qualifications at the fore front of their requirement for employment into certain positions, some employers now hold personal qualities such as skills possessed by the individual ahead of the school they went to and the degree they graduated with. First, I would like to ask, could this be a reflection of a failing educational system? My second question is that if you happen to be the employer here, which will you consider more, school or skills?

Both school and skills are important, and if you posses both, you will have a greater chance of getting hired if you apply for a job because you will feel more confident about yourself when you go to an interview. This brings us back to your original question, if I'm to choose between school and skills,  I will choose skills because of the experience I had in my first year after graduation. I applied for a job in road construction company and i was called for an interview, but I wasn't confidence in myself because I knew I was just excellent at the theoretical parts of it.

I did the calculations the interviewer asked me to do, and he asked me to relate my answers to the practical aspect. I was so confused and disappointed because I was unable to respond, and they told me that they needed someone who would add value to their company. The person who was hired didn't have the same level of education as me, but he has the experience more than me, so he has a chance to get the job. At that time, my qualifications were unhelpful, and I realized that skills is more important than school. That's from my own view.
The the truth is that both school and skill is important but what we should concentrate our attention to is the fact that we should be more concerned about the kind of education that will should acquire because education is more of a theoretical which is causing more problem in society because the world is moving beyond the level of theoretical education vocational education should be prioritized  in our pursuit of education.

People should be add vocational education which is more concerned about getting a skill which will best equip the students population to face the harsh life after school because the fact is that there are no industries for people to work so acquiring skill means that you are already self employed
Actually both are important but talking up realistically on how things being done then we do know that after finishing up college then we are all that having no experience and thats why we are applying into a job to get some experience but there are some sh!t employers out there who do prioritize into those who do have skills on which leaving out no room or chance for those who are fresh graduates and this is why we do able to see that there are tons who wasnt been able to land a job just because they've been that having that lack of opportunity on getting one. This is where they would be trying out to touch up other things which is out of their expertise and knowledge on which it isnt a bad option either but due to having no option then they will be coming out with that kind of idea. As an employer then you will be giving out that priorities into those who do have that both qualifications but there are some exemptions into those people who do showcased out those expertise or skills despite of lacking with those needed credentials. For an individual then as much as possible then you should be that finishing up studies because this is something that you would be needing for you to have that start up. Come to think that on how you would be able to obtain up a skill if you wont be able to land a job in the first place? Yes, getting your first job is hard since majority of those employers are finding or looking for those experienced people on which it is that very ironic. There are just that those times or conditions on which some individuals are trying out to find up ways for them to learn and acquire up such skills on different method. There are those conditions that luck factor do also have that kind of effect specially to those who had been that chosen up on landing up a job despite on having no educational attainment just because there are those employers who are that considering with those individuals who are that having the experience despite of lacking with those credentials but in personal point of view and approach then you would be needing up to consider on finishing studies no matter what. You do know on who do have the advantage because you do know that it turned out to be a default requirement.
