Hi BTT, I’m writing to apply to be merit source for the gambling board. I have been an active member of the forum since September 2021, and this online community has become a part of my life. I’m a bitcoin enthusiast, and love to see people use bitcoin in their everyday life. I’m also a frequent poster in gambling boards and in the Nigerian local board. The gambling board is seen by many members as a “no-good” section of the forum or as a spam board. I want to change the narrative and do my best to improve the gambling section of the forum. I recognize that other members are doing their part to reduce the amount of spam by opening self moderated threads. I have over 700 good reports across different boards of the forum and I believe that rewarding meaningful discussion with merits will surely increase the post quality of the gambling board.
There are good and interesting topics in the gambling board, and I find many of the members I interact with there are very passionate about what they post but according to Ddmrddmr’s merit dashboard the gambling section is one of the least sections of the forum where merit is distributed.
If I am made a merit source for the board, I believe more members will give more thought to their posts in this section because the gambling board will be a place where they can improve their account rank not just another section to complete their signature post quota.
