It doesn't need more awareness.
You know its like recycling or cleanliness. People know, so its not like they don't know the world is polluted or the ocean animals will die if you throw garbage on the street. They just don't care.
You want people to care, you literally have to start making them feel the pain.
Make their currency worthless. Make it that Visa or card or bank payments are slow and expensive.
If you are business owner, start accepting Bitcoin. If you are consumer start asking businesses if you can pay in Bitcoin.
No awareness campaign ever changed behaviors, IMO. Only when people themselves feel the pain or see others they love and respect change, do they change.
I completely disagree with this. What you are missing here is that when these things happen, people will be too broke to even think about or afford Bitcoin. The more likely scenario is that they become homeless and potentially even die before they even see enough satoshis to fix the mistake of not having any to begin with.
I disagree with both of you in different ways. Slaman is wrong because he thinks that people know, and he has a very wrong understanding what it means to know something. Do you know quantum physics if you have heard the definition and know some basics? No. Most people do not know about Bitcoin, hearing the word is not knowing it. Even fewer people understand Bitcoin. If they knew and understood, they would be here. Don't confuse lack of knowledge with lack of care. It would require a very biased and stubborn person to refuse Bitcoin even when you understand it. There is no other freedom from the monetary slavery system. And for you, anyone can afford Bitcoin who isn't living near the poverty limits in the west. Again this relates to knowledge, if you know basic divisibility then you know you can buy Bitcoin. How many hundreds of millions are paying for Spotify or Netflix, they all can afford Bitcoin.
Some people have no idea how bitcoin works, how to store it, so how can they accept it in their business or convert their wages to it without inducing themselves with anxiety or opening themselves up to vulnerability?
Just buy it through an ETF if you can't educate yourself enough or don't trust yourself to do it safely.
