Because if they're not going to stop, things could get worse and they might end relationships and put a boundary in all of them while being isolated on that emotion that they cannot fight over.

What can be considered as a small amount for me, may nkt be considered a small amount to thenother parties, so using thentotsl amounin loses may not give us the true reflections of this topic.

It is also right, a small amount for anybody could be bigger to the other gamblers. But this isn't a problem by the others but ourselves. If we consider an amount as small, then stick to that amount as part of accepted loss and budget when we gamble so that we won't be emotional if we lose it.
