I'll leave my thoughts here. I really liked Ledger back in 2016 - 2019, and I even had two devices: Nano S and Nano X. I used both Ledger and Trezor.

After all these "stories with Ledger with an unpleasant smell" using their HW as the main storage of crypto looks risky, but this doesn't mean that Ledger should not be used at all. Why not, as a secondary device for small amounts. If you already have ledger's wallet, then why you throw it away, right.

And Ledger's target audience aren't bitcoiners and bitcoin enthusiasts. They try to appeal to altcoiners, shitconers and meme holders. Just look at their social media profiles. They are full of nonsense with the occasional useful post. They do a good job in that regard and invest a lot of time and resources in marketing to sell kids and hype seekers their devices.

True, this company "gets" its customers not due to the quality and reliability of its devices, but due to its powerful marketing team. But can they be blamed for this? This is a business, and like any business, Ledger tries to maximize profits. That is why we see such a wide coverage of the target audience.

If you or someone doesn't like Ledger, then just don't use their HWs.
