Gambling addict has been a problem of most gamblers. Most gamblers started simple but end up becoming an addict. This develops gradually until they become fully addicted. Gambling addiction progresses are in three main stages: the winning stage, the losing stage, and the chasing/desperation stage.

Winning stage: Gambling addiction starts off with the alluring winning stage, where everything seems perfect, and you are winning more often than you are losing. It's easy to get hooked at this stage, because of the thrill of winning, and the gambler still believes that they are in control. However, this stage is usually short-lived.
Losing stage: Losing stage follows after the winning stage. Here, you start to lose significant amounts of money, but since you know what it’s like to win, you continue to gamble, believing that the next win must be just around the corner.
Chasing/desperation phase: This is when you have lost so much money that you will do anything to win it back. This may involve lying to friends and family members, borrowing or stealing money in order to gamble, and chasing your losses. By this stage, it is extremely difficult to quit, since the gambler is in so much financial ruin that they are desperate for money.

CONCLUSION: Gambling may be a great problem if adequate measure isn't take. One should just to observe himself/herself for necessary changes in case one observed he/she is gradually becoming an addict.
The way gambling addiction happens to one Mr A it's not the way it will happen to one Mr B, because I know that in gambling someone most develope much feelings that will make the person to be gambling addict, secondly, someone maybe chasing loses in the gambling and lure the person to be gambling addict, they are many factors that can leads to gambling addict, that is why I said that we have different things that can make someone to be addicted in the gambling, from my views, I think so many persons who is gambling addict today, doesn't know that they are addicted in the gambling except someone close to them informed, so as I said before that many things can contribute for someone to be addicted in the gambling, even when you feel that is only way of surviving, that can also lead someone to be gambling addict.
You have told so well, but there are multiple ways/reasons which may involved a user into gambling but ultimately the final step is to be addicted on gambling. Until any person is addicted on gambling I think there is nothing to be worried about whether the person is in loss or in profit. But when the person is addicted we have to worried about that person as the person can do anything for the addiction.
Moreover, it can develop unpredictably, for example very quickly or gradually and slowly, we will never be able to predict this even with those relatives who are near us. Of course, until they themselves begin to behave too suspiciously and beg for money, inventing various fairy tales that sometimes look too true. But even I cannot determine when this desire for excitement can awaken in me, even if it was a long time ago, I still remember how scary and uncontrollable it is, by the way, this is what holds me back from uncontrolled bets.
Gambling addiction starts from the day you start gambling because without starting to gamble there will be no win because the mindset has always be to win and not to play for fun, but you start chasing your losses if you don't win instantly, and in some cases, after winning because of greed you want to recover all you have lost previously without knowing that they will keep on losing until all their money is lost, that is when they will realize that they have lost all he had.
Gambling addiction needs to be monitored so that you don't fall into the addictions stage because it is not easy to come out of it .
Addiction is mainly common among those that do not set their limits both on cash and time also not knowing when to stop gambling either in winning or losing stage.
