Jackson getting sent off shows how irresponsible he was in the game. If his form continues to decline, I am in no doubt Maresca will have to sell him otherwise he could be a bad influence on the rest of the squad.

Maybe Maresca feels he can work with the squad and improve on last season, he certainly has a lot of confidence in his players. The owners should work with the manager when recruiting players in order to make sure there is consensus.

As for Liverpool, they already had a good squad and the players have responded to Slot. Having a few new names is only going to make them stronger next season.
