If Wirtz could show his ability on the pitch perfectly with chemistry and goal then Reds are still a contender, even they don't need a complete rebuild. Liverpool doesn't really have to spend as much as Manchester city are doing across all positions in their team. I think City are spending accordingly to the level of their needs and Liverpool's is different because even their backline is definitely not bad that it needs such replacements as thay of City which we all watched last season. Their willingness to spend such woofing amount of €150M on Wirtz alone tells a lot that they know what they want and where they need strengthening and not about buying all round just because City are doing so.
