for me I don't Liverpool need to do much in the transfer market except for the purpose of replacing some of the players that left the club at the end of last season, hence it is Obvious that they would be a great team again this season despite last season's flop against defending champions PSG, also I think there's need for the team to give more chances to their young talents from their academy, these youngsters can sometimes be of great importance to the team if given the opportunity.
..
Liverpool has a great team, and I agree with you that Liverpool doesn't need to do much in the transfer window since they have a good squad that can compete in the UEFA Champions League competition and the Premier League or any other competitions they will play next season.
In the Champions League I don't think it makes any difference what their squad will be, nothing depends on it. The Champions League is about endurance and the ability to withstand any opponent, and for that you just need a balanced team with players who work well together and lastly to work on tactics. You can put together a star-studded squad, but it's unlikely to achieve greatness in the Champions League
@baeva, it depends on what you mean about what Liverpool squad will be... Because I believe that for any team, endurance is parts of what makes it to be spotted as a good strong team that is balanced with a team game play. And Liverpool didn't lack any of these qualities in their last season campaign even though they had to be eliminated in the UCL semis by PSG on PK's, which any team can lose at that stage. What I think is that Liverpool squad depth is intact to face any team next season, they just need to put in more energy to go further and that's all.
