In the Champions League I don't think it makes any difference what their squad will be, nothing depends on it. The Champions League is about endurance and the ability to withstand any opponent, and for that you just need a balanced team with players who work well together and lastly to work on tactics. You can put together a star-studded squad, but it's unlikely to achieve greatness in the Champions League

@baeva, it depends on what you mean about what Liverpool squad will be... Because I believe that for any team, endurance is parts of what makes it to be spotted as a good strong team that is balanced with a team game play. And Liverpool didn't lack any of these qualities in their last season campaign even though they had to be eliminated in the UCL semis by PSG on PK's, which any team can lose at that stage. What I think is that Liverpool squad depth is intact to face any team next season, they just need to put in more energy to go further and that's all.

The defeat they got this season was logical because PSG have picked up form that they haven't had for a few years and it was just difficult to oppose them, but if you look back at the match it was still decent and Liverpool's game was ok. I wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool continue to play smoothly and win this season, but I think they would have a good chance with the current squad as well
