The addition of Pogba and Ansu Fati could at least make AS Monaco consistent in Ligue 1, as well as increase their chances of going further in the Champions League. PSG dominance in Ligue 1 will not be shaken even if AS Monaco manages to sign both players, finishing in the second position in the standings seems more realistic for them next season. It's been a long time since I saw Pogba in action on the field, and I think Pogba is very lucky to get a leniency after filing an appeal in court.
This will make Monaco's midfield even better because Pogba's presence as a defensive midfielder will make Ansu Fati more free to help the attack and their measured passes will be an advantage for the attack line in scoring goals. These two players have important roles and we need to see how far Pogba's ability to contribute because since the sentence was withdrawn we have not seen Pogba play in any team.
To compete with PSG does seem more difficult, but Monaco can do their best and most importantly can play consistently. If this can be maintained, then next season PSG will have much more interesting competition because Monaco is also one of the strong teams in Ligue 1.
