How do you believe that betting on a side is to support them? Does a player care what are the odds for them or their team? Or, do they mind how much money staked for them for a particular match? Even they bother about gambling statistics, it got nothing to do with their performance. Hence, betting on your favourite team makes no sense. If you want to win a bet then go rational.
