Then due to injuries, Ancelotti was forced to play Tchouameni in the defense position.
They had an injury crisis that was big trouble for them but in fact Real Madrid managed to play well enough and went through the financial crisis very good. Later when their players returned, they began to have very bad performances in decisive weeks of season that made a bad ending for their club in both La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League.
To avoid similar injury crisis, Real Madrid must prepare better in this summer, from player resource, player transfers on the market to physical and health care for their players more carefully in order to make sure they will have as best fitness as possible for a new season.
This is basically the reason why they changed Pintus into a director position instead of performance trainer. Because he was training everyone way too much, which is great if you want to be physically better, like after working with him, Ronaldo became a machine and that was great for him, dude is still playing at 40 years old and Pintus was one of the reasons I believe.
But that doesn't mean he can do that to all players, because while players do need that when they are young and need to get better physical, after a while, if you are the superstar, then getting that ends up being injury risky, just because it worked on some players, doesn't mean it works on all.
