They know that some exchanges like Bitpanda, coinbase and binance for example make some refunds.
It's a common support thing, Stake is acting unprofessionally also.

If the fund is on there hot wallet then they may recover and send back to you and I should they send the money to your preferred new wallet though it may take few time as it cant be automated. But my main question is why they will refund without any prior concern of you or is there nay concern of you.
