Hmm, I guess you will be happy... for around 15 seconds. After that, it's pretty much normal from there. You will be happy that you won several dollars, but after that, you will think of the next. Either you will stop, or you will use that winnings again to win more dollars.As somebody that only gambles $10 per week, winning $50 is already a big thing for me, but to a point where I'm incredibly happy because at the back of my head, I will still think of the losses that I had in the past and will say "This isn't enough to cover all of my losses." It will be a different reaction if it's a million dollars though. At the end of the day, it will depend on your lifestyle, and maybe the country where you're living. For us, $50 can buy many things already, but in other countries $50 isn't enough for a family to cover a single breakfast, dinner or lunch.
If you win, you will feel the adrenaline rushing on your body hence, you will find more profits which will lead to losses in the end. I know this isn't happening to all gamblers, but it's happening.
I am happy with any win, and the intensity of my emotions depends mainly on the size of the bet. If I bet $1 and won $50, I would be very happy. If my bet was $5, I would also be happy, but not as much. In my opinion, the joy of winning also depends on experience. I remember when I won $10 for the first time, I was ecstatic. Now, when I win $100, I can't experience the same emotions because I have had much bigger wins in my experience. In addition, I think that over time we get used to dopamine surges and they no longer affect us as much.
