The funny thing is you call it reckless while Chelsea owners sees it as business opportunity, Todd Boehly isn't dumb to keep signing young players for no reason, maybe we are only short sighted to see what he is doing for the club but for the shares holders of Chelsea agreeing on Todd Boehlys transfer agreements means they know what they are doing, it is either for one interest which i suspect to be financial interest.
Chelsea have enough signings but are not winning major trophies, the club owners are strategic since they don't win trophies, instead do business with players and grow their finances. It now seems that Chelsea owners are focusing on making profits from the club instead of making changes that can help the club win trophies.

Buying so many players you will barely play, and they end up on bench thus losing the form but keep paying their high wages and eventually think of selling them off after at obviously lower prices. Is that really profit making? Help me understand how profits are being made in such circumstances.
