Buying so many players you will barely play, and they end up on bench thus losing the form but keep paying their high wages and eventually think of selling them off after at obviously lower prices. Is that really profit making? Help me understand how profits are being made in such circumstances.

That's right, because in reality, expensive prices will correlate with the quality of the players. If players rarely get playing time, will they automatically be valued highly? There is no guarantee for any club to buy with just empty talk. Players need flying hours, must prove themselves worthy, otherwise don't expect to be valued highly. If there is a club that dares to buy players without measuring their quality, that is not far from gambling, right?

In this case, Chelsea is required to be able to rotate all available players so that their standards can be measured.
