What happened? The US utilized a good portion of their bunker busters and said "you want more of this??"
Iran did a calculated response to say "Tit for tat, we realize you are stronger right now"
So the ceasefire is up, as Iran cannot fight two wars at once. I'm sure they recognize the days of a united United States response is limited, and they are just biding their time. Iran is Atlantic, China is Pacific, and the president who vowed never to start wars will soon find himself out of assets.
If the USA wanted a ceasefire then why did they attack Iran?

many aid missions were stopped or suspended due to the risk of harm to the aid volunteers.. isreal restarted shipments of aid this spring but with military guard, and when the aid trucks get ambushed, hamas again treat it as isreal being the cause of the chaos created due to the ambush
iran recently (weeks ago) declared they dont want to re-sign into any peace deal (they dont want to be part of the NPT)
they declined attending meetings. they then raised further terror threats by mentioning they have capability to make nukes and they want to have nukes and possibly use nukes..
this then escalated when iran struck a US embassy which in legal terms is a declaration of war on the US. and so the US had the legal right to intervene directly.
the US and Isreal set targets to disable the nuclear research and capability.. whilst iran were just randomly striking civilian locations
