I am not sure if Leverkuse will be doing better this coming season as there are a lot changes to the Team , new Coach , some key players left and so on.
Ten Hag has clearly got some nice good seasons in the past but also some terrible ones , i guess we should wait and see what will be coming in Leverkusen.
Just a reminder how critcal a lot people was when Company was announced as Coach in Munich and now he got some postive stats.
Even if they continue with Xabi Alonso, their performances might continue to decline and in reality they have more diifculty with a departure of Xabi Alonso, Wirtz and perhaps more star players in remaining days of the summer transfer season.
They changed their head coach position from Xabi Alonso to Ten Hag who failed disappointedly in Manchester United. It's really hard to believe that Ten Hag will be able to help Leverkusen to perform well and win Bundesliga title again. Bayern Munich have been back with their domination in Bundesliga and it's unrealistic to imagine any scenario with which Bayern Munich will fail to defend their trophy and also domination in Bundesliga.
You're right Leverkusen will do much more better this season and can even finish in a good position more than Manchester United in their respective leagues because there is already an existing structure in Leverkusen while that can't be said if United so I expect that ten hang should leverage on the success that has been left over for him by Alonso by building a solid team
I see no solid reason to think of better performances of Bayer Leverkusen in a new season, after losing Xabi Alonso, Wirtz and hiring Ten Hag as their new head coach. Many big changes in the club this summer that are not their good preparation for an upcoming season. Logically their performances in Bundesliga will be affected negatively and with domination of Bayern Munich, it's almost impossible for Ten Hag and Bayer Leverkusen to win this league title.
