Blockchain recovery or wallet log in does not use different methods for custodial or non custodial.
Only Coinbase does.
Blockchain does not do any custodial they only difference is DEFI or TRADING wallet

Yes, but its a hypothetical thesis. You can reset a non custodial wallet if you have the json and find password and/or using 12 words.
