I also think that Paris Saint Germain are favourites to win the cup again, it seems absurd but it's like that, they are good, they have gained experience, they have freed themselves of useless burdens and they seem to be very determined to win again, and that doesn't surprise me, they are also young
If we are to talk about experience, PSG has got the experience in abundance, in the past 5-7 years they have consistently had an appearance at the champions league and and made it to the finals at least twice of which they won one. But I don't want to believe they have the capacity to still defend it because that is the hardest part of winning a trophy, the following season will come with so many challenge because all the teams will be wanting to get the trophy from them. The challenge will double than it has been in the earlier season, this was seen with Real Madrid in the champions league two seasons ago and same applies to Leverkusen, so across all leagues you can see this happening, so I believe PSG will not find it easy next season.
PSG should understand that the Champions League is not like the France Ligue 1 where they win and defend titles, this is a competition of Champions which means it is never easy for any team to defend it. In the Champions League era, Real Madrid is the only team to defend the Champions League title and that was basically because they were at their peak as at that time when Zinedine Zidane won it for 3 consecutive seasons but for PSG, they just tasted the trophy for the first time in their history which means that it will be difficult for them to win it back-to-back when Real Madrid and Manchester City are already warming up for the Champions League games next season, if any of those teams did reach the Champions League finals last season, PSG wouldn't have won it.
It is possible PSG can still the win the UEFA Champions league tittle second time in a roll, winning this pretigeous tittle back to back has been difficult in the past after Manchester United won it in 2008 against Chelsea they try to win it again 2009 against Barcelona but unfortunately they lost before Real Madrid later broke the band so I believe another team can still do it besides PSG performance last season was a thing of surprised to people and they are still playing very well so i won't be surprise if they do same thing this coming season, nothing is impossible in football.
