Now, I’m a father, and my 17-year-old daughter is starting to gamble too playing slots and even doing some sports betting. I don’t know how to feel, part of me feels oddly proud of what she’s doing.

What exactly are you proud about? That your daughter broke a history by gambling at her underage which other underage children has not been able to gamble or what? What gratitude does being a gambler bring to you that you even have to feel proud when your kid is gambling?
I may not blame your age of when begin to gamble but your parents.
Now you have grown and became wiser according to you after being addicted, are you also going to allow your daughter get addicted since gambling has become your inheritance and upon how you have realized how negative it has affected you, are you hoping otur daughter falls on such category too?
If Yes, you are still not wise but if No, then prove it and control your daughters interest in gambling.
