Essence and purpose of gambling is primarily driven by hope of winning while the essence of investment at the other hand is the allocation of resources with the expectations of gaining profit over time.

Gambling is a short-term kind of scheme for gaining profit or losses while investment requires time to gradually produce profit meaning investment requires patience before it pays.

Yes, there is one thing that we cannot equate between gambling and investment because clearly both are different things. Gambling has a greater risk of loss, therefore always be careful in gambling, make sure that we only gamble with the amount of money we are prepared to lose, because in gambling there is no guarantee of winning unlike investment which can still be tried to get profit.

And the stupid thing that I often find, people prefer to spend their money on gambling rather than investing, they really can't be patient to be able to get profit from the amount of money they deposit, even though the profit from investment is more real than from gambling.

Of course you can't compare gambling and investment because both have no similarities and should not be seen as the same because they are two different things, gambling risk is so much that you can't get any thing out of it once you gamble and lose your money. If you don't want to face the risk of losing money it's either you avoid gambling or you gamble with a budgeted amount.

People who spend their money on gambling may be doing so because of how they intend to make fast profit since they would have to wait for their investments to mature because they can take profit.
