So, I would advise checking every single character when it comes to URLs.

I have to leave everything in the quote verbatim to ensure the import of my response to it doesn't get lost. I never mentioned or referred to doing a random check of url. Nah! I never said to check parts of it while making sure it wasn't a phisher. I said "I don't neglect checking url if I've it spelt out or in my head." By inference, it meant I check everything in toto. I hope it's clearer now?
