I don't know if cockfighting is legal in the Philippines, I always thought that it is an illegal sports or entertainment where people stake their money to bet on cocks.
It is legal! PH have so many cockpit arena which is mortly loaded every Sunday. What is Illegal is the online Sabong, The government issued a stop on this platform.
But the cockfighting in arena still legal.
Thanks for the information, although in my country I've seen a few children engaging chickens in cockfights on the streets but I never knew that it is regarded as a sport in some countries. Although I respect your culture for cockfights but I see it as animal cruelty, I hope that the cocks are well taken care of after their fights. I also checked on Google and confirmed what you said that the Sabong, (cockfighting) is prohibited on gambling platforms. I support this, I think that it is better that only people who loves the sport will be able to watch them live.
