And what could be the possible consequences if gambling were banned in a country? Can you share some thoughts or examples?

Let’s have an open discussion ...

The consequences if gambling was ban in the country is the financial benefit that comes to the operators and government from tax that are collected from operators of gambling outfits will be lost automatically. As to the addicted gamblers, it will discourage many of them to continue gambling but banning it won't stop gambling totally because some gamblers will register with VPN and continue gambling.

The best solution for such situation where gamblers are becoming too much or if government feels more money are lost in it, they will orientate gamblers on the disadvantages and by extension tell them not to gamble beyond limit. Outside from those kind of seminar, I don't think nothing much can be done because it is a personal decision to gamble or not to gamble.

I came across news that there’s a senator pushing to ban gambling in our country.

So I’d like to ask fellow gamblers here, do you think this move is justified? Or is it too harsh?

We all know that gambling is addictive by nature. No matter our financial status, anyone can fall into addiction. But is banning it entirely really the only solution?
