Seeing how scientists discover new ways to scale up these quantum computers, I can see this threat becoming real sooner than everyone anticipates.
Regular centralized systems, like those used in banking, will have no trouble updating in time - and even if someone hacks the system, they can easily revert to the state before the hack.
It’s not so easy with Bitcoin, and even if it were reverted, Bitcoin would lose a significant amount of value due to the loss of trust.
Another problem is proving that your wallet was hacked and that you didn’t move the coins yourself.
