Don't know if it was Shakib or Mushi babu but one time I heard him saying that we are here for sightseeing/tourist and not for winning the tournament ( t-20 wc). So won't be surprised if someone else also repeating the more or less same line.

I am happy that the Bangladeshi players are being honest. And what they said is not just applicable for them, but also for some of the other teams such as Sri Lanka, West Indies and Zimbabwe. The problem is with the ICC. They have made full member status something like an elite club, and once a nation receives it there is no sort of accountability. There are associate nations out there who get 1/100th of the funding that Bangladesh receives, because they are not having full member status. And many of these teams can defeat Bangladesh or Zimbabwe in a 1x1 encounter.
Well, When you say such statements, it means that you have accepted the loss even before the start of the match/series and losing a series doesn't matter to you. I don't think such statements would do any good to the Bangladesh team. If the Bangladesh team come for sight seeing, why the Bangladesh cricket board is paying the players for tourism only
I haven't read that full statement yet, but if anyone from the Bangladesh camp said this statement, it is highly irresponsible and that person or the team should be held accountable that they are wasting the nation's money that is being spend on the Bangladesh Nation cricket team.
