Why absurd? It depends on how he was introduced into the forum. Moreover signature campaigns are part of what keeps the forum more alive.

Plenty of fellow users have given their opinions on what you need do before meeting the requirements of earning from signature campaigns. For bounties, it is easier to earn from them with a low rank but signature campaign requires at least member rank (not widely accepted), achieving full member position also increases your chances of earnings from signature campaigns. All of these won't happen if you don't learn.
