People want to believe that Bitcoin is immune to every threat to feel more comfortable, but it's not true and never will be.

It is a constant arms race, and Bitcoin will need to hard fork every time a new cryptographic weapon emerges.

The day it stops hard-forking-or fails to do so in time-it's game over.

History shows that Bitcoin will outlive any issue, minor or major, and it will outlive you and your family. So no, "one scenario" is not enough to destroy Bitcoin. Where are we at today? 16 years of a constant arms race and we didn't even need to hard fork once for cryptographic reasons. Roll Eyes

People who have zero technical and zero economic understanding of anything should be spending time talking about doomsday scenarios. We should definitely listen to them and spend valuable time responding to them. It is definitely not a waste of time. Social media makes people better. People develop very good behaviors because of it. While we are at it, I'll go and ask my Pastor if we need to hard fork Bitcoin to solve its coming economic depression. He can help us.
