I agree with the members that it's only about the psyche; it's a "sense of control" that you think you have because of the strategies and tactics. It's most likely a matter of luck, and it will likely yield similar results.
The different strategies may be aimed at preserving your capital in the account, but it doesn't mean they will yield better results.
I think it's best to recognize that there are different types of strategies in games. Perhaps if it's skill-based, the approach is more effective with varying changes of strategy; however, for non-strategy games like slots, there's little to no effect.
Slots are essentially programs designed to pay out a certain percentage in winnings while keeping the majority as profit. There really can't be any long-term strategy you'll end up in the red anyway,it's a game of luck. The same can't be said about poker, though, in my opinion, it's the best training ground for developing, testing, and refining strategies. However, this applies more to live games; online tournaments aren't as informative.
