Investing in Bitcoin for long term is not only risk free but also gives you good return. Just look at price chart of Bitcoin and we can easily figure out the results of investing for long term. Trading on the other hand is risky stuff and not everyone can handle it properly. Moreover their are not many people who got success in trading, most people usually fail in trading. It's important to fully understand the pros and cons of both trading and investing before making a final decision about which one to choose.

Trading methods are very risky. I am an example of this. I started trading with some of my saved money but it was not Bitcoin which instead of giving me a return was at a loss level. At present I have been able to recover it. My plan in the future is to accumulation Bitcoin and in the long term. If I had bought Bitcoin with the same amount of dollar that I bought altcoins for short term trading, I would have benefited a lot. I will not try to be short-term profitable now, but save for the long term.
