Finally, Real Madrid's most decorated player Luka Modric leaves the club after playing his final game for the club in their 4:0 defeat to French and European champions Paris Saint Germaine. As a Real Madrid fan, I'm yet to make peace with the fact that another legend of the club have left but I believe that he'll someday come back to the club but definitely not as a player. Reports have it that he's already signed for AC Milan. Wishing the Croatian midfield maestro the best as he he continues his football journey.
Luka Modric's experience and leadership skills are uncommon, but his on-pitch performance has reduced to a large extent. He no longer has the strength and vigor to keep competing for a steady slot in the Real Madrid team. He had achieved almost everything with Real, so I think it's time for him to depart after winning 28 trophies and one Ballon d'Or. AC Milan might find him helpful considering that Massimiliano Allegri wants to replace Tijjani Reijnders, who moved to Manchester City. I also wish him success in his new Italian club.
