The Nigerian Falcons started the chase to regain the African title on a very good note. They defeated the Tunisian female national team in their first game today. Rinsola Babajide celebrated her goal by mimicking Diogo Jota's style in an emotional remembrance of the late Liverpool player. The Nigerian team lost lots of chances but I am glad they got the maximum three points.
Normally, the Nigerian Super Falcon are not like their male counterpart (the Super Eagle). They played good football with their whole heart and not like the men team that play with pride and unseriousness. I personally commend Rinsola celebration as a sign of tribute to late Diego Jota but I was surprised to see how people were criticising her action for paying a tribute to Jota instead of paying a tribute to Peter Rufai. That was a very unnecessary criticism from our people honestly. It was a deserving victory from our ladies and hope they keep and maintain the energy always.
We saw Tunisia women's football team very well in all point of views because they could not perform anything in last match which they played against Nigeria women's football team. One team did 3 goals in this match and opponent team could not do any goal in this match. The stats of Tunisia women's football team was vulnerable in this match as their shots were very low in this match and these were only 6 and no shot was on target. The possession percentage of that team was very low and that was 28 percent. Possession percentage always play crutial role in the match and we saw low possession by that team. The passes and pass accuracy was also low and that was the reason opponent team easy won this match.
