I have volunteered as a prison teacher and my job was to teach prisoners in a school. The prison is totally another world and you will begin to wonder how they survive in such conditions. In this prison, everything, including drug use, gambling, prostitution, cultism, and others, exists. I have never seen people gambling since I am not allowed to visit their cells, but I have firsthand information that they gamble with money, food items, clothing, bed space, and anything that has value. You can gamble with a comfortable sleeping space and sleep on the floor if you lose. I might not be surprised that gambling exists in the afterlife

I'm not really surprised with this. However, is this happening in all the prisons around the world? If this happen in almost all the prisons, the prisons never function as it should be. Instead of changing to be a better one, they probably become worse poeple while in prison. It's no wonder they can gamble in prison because things like drugs or sex also exist. Seems alike jail might have low-key lawbreaking, guards come by bribed so prisoners could smuggle stuff or back the horses. Turns out gambling take place at the back of the scenes, and black-market smuggling molds its way easier as kids stuff. I will say it is not so much about thrill, more underground political economy and hustling info. I just think what a wild how rules do not stop it.

That paper ball wall game is kinda brilliancy, toilet-paper balls tossed at the wall and whoever lands closest come first in. Yeah also heard inmate bet cigs, shoes, even meals. Make obvious how boredom sparks imagination. On the side road you would call it something like trash, but inside the jail it is top‑tier rough and ready gambling. Respect the hustle.

If I am not mistaken, I think they are hosted by high high-ranking officials. Since there are programs for prisoners in my country to earn money, it is probable that the authority who is in charge of these prisoners wanted to milk them of their income so these people allowed gambling and other sorts of illegal activity inside the prison. I heard a rumor in some cases that convicted criminals who are already in jail gain temporary freedom in order to execute targeted people.
