Of course it is not a justifiable act, and the perpetrator must be severely punished.
I do not know if cockfighting is legal or not in your country, or the perpetrator is the person who obtained permission to hold the gambling, but the lesson when we commit fraud to the wrong person, the result will be horrible, like the incident
Hopefully the police can really enforce justice because it could be that the perpetrator had a lot of money and used it to influence the investigation.

Cock fighting is legal and its tradition in Philippines that's why the operators are free to operate this kind of business in our country.

But its really sad that they came unto this point on where there's huge crime happen just because of some malicious actions done by people. Hopefully this issue will get solve by authorities and those real involve people will pay on the crimes they committed.

Current development of this case is the coast guard already find many bones on Taal Lake and hopefully they will do DNA sampling to match the found bones to the family and totally solve this long time issue.
