The problem with celebrities and politicians is that they say anything they want about bitcoin and that effect has to be borne by the market traders and investors. Politics is such that every other political news will make some sort of movement on speculative markets, bitcoin being one of them.
They don't lose anything by saying something and if anything loses, it is their reputation only.
JI am so doubtful that politicians care about that while they look at support and votes for winning election or pass kind of bills in the Congress. Bitcoin adoption has been uprising considerably since 2009 and it is explainable why politicians in 2025 and recent years have changed their stance on Bitcoin and show more interest in Bitcoin or support it.
I'm not sure how Bitcoin can play a direct role in practical politics, but there is ample evidence that leaders have been elected after speaking about Bitcoin. Furthermore, we can see the election of Trump and the South Korean president and how the issue of crypto has been brought into the context of those elections.
Politics relates to many things and Bitcoin is not an exemption at all. Bitcoin us unique and has very little effects from politics so it is well in long term no matter what is done by Trump, Elon Musk or any other politicians and their policies on Bitcoin. In addition, Bitcoin has very good decentralization which is different than all other cryptocurrencies.
