Which elite team are you referring to? Al Nassr only plays in the Saudi Arabian League and only needs to outperform a few teams next season. There's no guarantee that Al Nassr will immediately become champions just because they can retain elite players like Ronaldo. But at least Al Nassr can still fight for it because they're not that far behind some of the other teams in the Saudi Arabian League. So, you just have to be patient and wait for Al Nassr to win if you're a fan. If you're not, don't think too much about it.

Saudi league has some "elite" teams for their own level, and they also have some bad teams. Look at the standings and you will see that bottom half does basically nothing, and because of that there are like 4 or 5 teams that actually mean business, rest do not look like they are good at all. Al Nassr so far has been beat Al Hilal and I am guessing their goal would be just passing them. If they can do that then they are going to end up with a better result without a doubt.

Al Ittihad looked great last season of course, but Al Hilal has consistently been better than Al Nassr and that is the most important difference. I am sure that it is going to take a while for Al Nassr to build a winning team around Ronaldo, even with unlimited money, you need to do better.
