The same reason some platforms just use the chatbots. They don't want to spend some good money on qualified/professional Customer assistants who work remotely so they look out for those who come from countries where the low wages they offer are acceptable.
I don't know how many times I have encountered customer assistants who didn't even seem to have enough technical knowledge about the issues that come up in the platforms they work for. My guess is, the cheaper the labour, the shittier the service offered.

And worse, the smaller platforms pay better I guess. Coinbase at the top tier but bottomtier support.

Which makes me double triple impressed when I use a platform where support people are actually knowledgeable about the thing, and even if they can't help solve the issue right then, the fact they get it and you don't have to repeat yourself, always makes me go wow.

This is the shit side of crypto, too, if you ask me. Its supposed to be amazing and great and then adoption everywhere but try using it for real on external services and you get so frustrated.
