Certainly Xabi Alonso has left a mark in the club that should be emulated by his successor Erik Ten Hag but I doubt the former Manchester United manager will be able to replicate Xabi Alonso’s success. I can only hope that he does not drag them down the pecking order, his signings so far have not been bad btw so fingers crossed.

I don’t have much to say against him until the season begins. We can’t tell the quality of a manager and how he’ll be able to manage a club well until the season begins. Xabi Alonso is a great coach and left Bayern Leverkusen in a good condition, I’m sure Eric Ten Hag will want to continue building from where Alonso stops. So I’m not anticipating anything worse from him, but when the season begins, we can tell better.

Nobody should compare Leverkusen and Manchester United currently cause Leverkusen is in a league where there's not much competition and any good coach would succeed there if they can beat or draw Munich home and away then do well against other teams. It's not similar I'm the EPL where there's Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, Newcastle and even other tough midtable teams to deal with. The Premier league is not for the weak.

You are actually saying the truth and anyone comparing this two teams are just not watching this game of football and comparing them both as it should. Bayern Leverkusen only beat Bayern Munich home and away last season and did the same for the remaining teams a won the Bundesliga trophy.

The premier league cannot be won by just beating one big team, you’ll have to face all teams and win them to actually be feared. Even mediocre teams become harder to beat sometimes than the bigger teams, this is how tough the premier league is and makes it more superior and cannot be compared to the Bundesliga.
