If the current government of your country resists the US push to control the economy of your country, they might end up sponsoring opposition political parties to take over power. If this plot fails, your country should be ready for a coup or internal political conflict.

It happened in my country when a leader decided to nationalise all the multinational corporations that were used to exploit our resources. It is on record that a developed country sponsored a coup that led to the death of our political leader. To date, we are still mourning his death because he was not corrupt and had good plans for my nation.

The US wants political leader who are their puppets to take over power in developing nations to enable them to exploit their resources.
